Exciting changes are coming to The University of Alabama! As a Change Champion, you will be the first to learn about Workday, CORE and other new tools, systems and process. These new initiatives will modernize the way we work and support teaching, research, service and administration across campus.
Who Can Participate?
The Change Champion program is for all UA faculty and staff who are curious, collaborative, and interested in preparing themselves and helping others at UA get ready for these changes.
Change is Rewarding
As Change Champions complete activities, they earn points and get rewards.
Activities include:
- Readiness Workshops
- Capstone Convergence Connection newsletter quizzes
- Partner Activities (Agility, LinkedIn Learning, etc.)
Rewards include:
- Digital coins that can be exchanged for prizes
- Digital badges

What are the start and end dates for the Change Champions Program?
The Change Champions Program begins on September 8, 2026, and runs through Fall 2027, with multiple, flexible opportunities to participate throughout the program.
Is participation required?
No. The Change Champion Program is completely voluntary and intended to help employees stay informed, build Workday knowledge, and prepare for upcoming changes.
How much time does participation require?
Most activities are designed to fit into your regular professional development schedule. Participate at the level that works best for you.
Are the Readiness workshops considered training?
Readiness workshops are webinars designed to give employees a sneak peek of system functionality and are not intended to take the place of formal training. Training for Workday users will begin Fall 2027.
Do I need to complete every activity?
You can participate as much or as little as you'd like. Based on your interests and availability we invite you to attend the readiness workshops, read the newsletter and take the short quiz, or complete partner activities that make sense for you. For each activity you complete, you will earn a digital badge and digital coins that you can exchange for prizes on our Change Champion LMS page.
How will I be recognized for participating?
Participants may earn rewards, recognition, and other incentives throughout the program. Details will be shared on the Change Champion LMS page.
